Collect your international receivables in advance!
As an exporter, are you the beneficiary of a documentary credit? Then you can discount your receivables as soon as the documentary credit has been opened in favor of, and confirmed by, our bank. We will then pay you the proceeds of the documents less a discount. The amount of the discount depends on the credit rating of the issuing bank and the term of the credit.
This service allows us to pay you the proceeds of a documentary credit immediately, although the payment is actually only due later. For example, instead of having to wait up to 180 days after the shipping date for your outstanding receivable to be paid, you can improve your current liquidity immediately using a documentary credit. That creates more room to maneuver for you in buying goods or covering other unexpected financial bottlenecks. Shortening the time period between the purchase of goods and the receipt of the proceeds also lets you offer your customers more liberal payment terms.
